A heavy duty draglink is relocated on the steering knuckle to retain the factory steering geometry with the stock pitman arm. It provides bind free operation at full articulation and eliminates bump steer throughout the travel. It does not increase load on the steering box like a dropped pitman arm can.

The strength limitations of the Bronco's factory steering tie rods has been well documented, especially by Bronco owners who venture into the big rocks with big tires. These ICON XD Forged Tie Rods remedy this with better materials and beefier dimensions than the stock units. The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC machined from 4140 chromoly. The adjustment threads, where we've seen most of the failures happen on stock tie rods, are18mm on the XD Forged Tie Rods versus 14mm on stock Bronco tie rods. The outer tie rod is forged steel and has the same bend as the stock tie rods for fitting all of the Bronco's factory wheel diameters and offsets, along with just about any aftermarket wheel. The tie rod end is a beefier, metal on metal joint that is greaseable for extended service life and has the same range of operating angle as the stock tie rod ends. For the most hardcore of off-roaders, the ICON XD Forged Tie Rod kit is recommended as part of a comprehensive steering system upgrade strategy.

This heavy duty sleeve kit reinforces your steering by replacing the OE jam nut with a robust sleeve that supports the tie rod from bending or breaking. Designed to be used on a variety of lift heights, this sleeve kit still allows full tow adjustment to dial in front end alignment. JKS Manufacturing’s Drag Link Flip kit for JK Wranglers consists of a new drag link, a Track Bar bracket and a tapered steering arm insert. The design flattens out steering angles with lift heights of 3" and above, while providing correct geometry to increased droop travel. Bringing angles back to stock with the increased ride height of a lift removes the bump steer commonly associated with lifted solid axle suspensions. Drilling is required with the supplied 7/8” step bit. 3" tall front aluminum bump stop extensions are necessary for proper clearance at full bump. JKS1130 extensions available separately.
